Merino wool socks

Enforma Socks is a specialist in merino wool socks. With us you will find merino wool socks in different sizes and types. To let everyone experience what merino wool socks are, we have a wide range of unisex socks. Below we tell you more about the benefits, care and lengths of merino wool socks.

What is merino wool?

Merino wool in socks comes from the merino sheep, one of the oldest sheep breeds in the world. Merino wool is very soft and is often used in clothing. The wool originates from New Zealand. These merino sheep graze in large herds on the mountains of the South Island. In this area there are large temperature differences: from 35 degrees Celsius in the summer to far below 0 degrees Celsius in the winter. Therefore merino wool can be used in all seasons.

Why merino wool socks?

Merino wool socks complete your sports outfit, keep your feet comfortable, absorb moisture and prevent blisters and injuries when exercising. Merino wool socks with compression ensure optimal blood circulation. The socks also function as thermo socks and you can use them as warm house socks. You can use merino wool socks for any occasion or activity. At home, during sports or on the slopes: with the right socks everything is a lot more comfortable. Whether you are running, hiking, skiing or cycling, you will always find the right pair at Enforma Socks!

The benefits of merino wool socks

Merino wool socks offer several advantages. They increase the comfort for your feet and have a breathable and insulating capacity. Merino wool is one of the most breathable fibres. Socks containing this wool can absorb large amounts of moisture vapour and release it into the air. So you will never have sticky and wet feet again!

An important feature of merino wool socks is that they do not absorb unpleasant odours. This means that even after a long and strenuous trip, no unpleasant foot odour will develop. With our high quality merino wool socks your feet will stay in optimal condition and without blisters. This way, a training session or long walk will never become a torment.

Men merino wool socks

At Enforma Socks you will find various merino wool socks for men and women. We use unisex socks and make no distinction between merino wool socks for men and merino wool socks for women. Our socks are flexible enough to accommodate the difference between men’s and women’s feet.

Merino wool ladies socks

Enforma makes no distinction between merino wool socks for men and merino wool socks for women. Good socks ensure that moisture is removed and your feet stay dry. To accommodate the proportions of a man’s foot and a woman’s foot, we offer smaller sizing arcs (36-38, 39-41 etc.). These arcs indicate the sizes for which the respective sock is suitable.

The length of merino wool socks

At Enforma you will find different types of merino wool socks, so you will have the right wool socks at hand for every occasion. Our merino wool socks are usually slightly longer, to about mid-calf or knee height. This allows you to move freely and not have to worry about your calves. The Highlands ankle-high merino wool socks for example in olive green and black are perfect for winter activities, in mid and high mountains, but also in low temperatures, partly because the thermo-regulating properties of silk wool are effective even with a wet sock.

Our merino wool knee socks keep your feet and the rest of your legs at the right temperature. They keep your legs dry and warm. These socks are therefore perfect to wear during winter sports.

Care merino wool socks

Our socks do not need to be washed after one day. Just hang them out after one day and they will last another day. Merino wool is naturally antibacterial, which reduces sweating. Enforma socks are designed to ensure excellent quality and durability.

If you want your merino wool socks to stay in top condition, we recommend that you wash them inside out so that they do not lose colour and continue to look like new. Wash them at a maximum temperature of 30º with a non-aggressive liquid detergent. Avoid tumble drying and ironing, as the high temperatures affect the elasticity of the fabrics. Also avoid fabric softener. In principle, this applies to all garments containing wool. Fabric softener causes wool to lose its heat-absorbing properties.

Wide range of merino wool socks

Choosing the right merino wool socks ultimately comes down to a matter of personal preference. Therefore it is recommended to experiment with different lengths. This way you can find ideal merino wool socks that fit different conditions. If you have any questions about our collection of merino wool socks, please feel free to contact us for appropriate advice.
